Item Description
Great action photo of Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame Quarterback Jim Kelly. Kelly led the Buffalo Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances during his 11-year NFL career! This five-time Pro Bowler had his jersey retired by the Bills in 2001. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002, Kelly had former head coach and fellow HOF member Marv Levy present him for enshrinement.
Kelly devoted much of his post-football life to his son, Hunter, who was diagnosed with globoid-cell leukodystrophy shortly after birth. This prompted Kelly to establish Hunter’s Hope, a non-profit organization, in 1997. Kelly’s advocacy has raised awareness of this disease. Beginning in 2013 Kelly fought squamous cell carcinoma, a form of cancer in his upper jaw. In January 2019, Kelly announced he was cancer free. Kelly received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance at the 2018 ESPYs.
Certificate of Authenticity accompanies this photograph.
