Item Description
What can art conservation tell us about the collection at Boston's MFA? Are you interested in a more in-depth and close experience with the museum's decorative arts and sculpture? Spend some time with objects conservator Gerri Strickler, seeing the galleries of the MFA through her eyes. You'll learn about artists' techniques and materials, the difference between restoration and conservation, and the range of projects and tools that art conservators use to increase knowledge about museum holdings. After meeting with Gerri, you may stay longer at the museum to enjoy a wide range of its collections.
Includes admission to the museum.
Limited to a group of 4, high school age or older. Meet time would be approximately 45 minutes during a weekday evening or a weekend day at a convenient time for all.
