Item Description
Phoenix Rising is Multimedium: Acrylic textured gallery quality 16”x16” birch panel with copper melted tyvek sprinkled with metallic copper micro beads.
Phoenix Rising is based on the Greek Mythology of a mythical Bird rising from the ashes. In this time of the Covid19 Pandemic , the rising of the phoenix represents the letting go of old ideas and beliefs. Something must occur for real change in our human experience. The change is painful as this pandemic is painful. However, the hope of this artist is that although life will be different, it will ultimately be a better different.
Arlene Cherepak, a former educational administrator, is a self taught painter. She is currently a member of the Harte Trail Studio Tour and the Charleswood Art Group.
