Item Description
"Cozcacuauhtli," painted swan egg with clay base by Grey Jones. Egg is 5 inches tall, on hanging base total height is 8 inches. Medium is acrylic paint and marker.
The King Vulture (Sarcoramphus papa), also called Cozcacuauhtli in Aztec lanquage, has a wingspan of up to 7' across, weighs around 6-10 lbs, and ranges from Central through South America. the Mayans believed them to be the messengers of the gods, and the Aztecs used their image to represent the 13th day of the month in their calendar.
