Item Description
Konane is a board game handed down from ancient Hawaiians. It is similar to checkers, and strategies are similar to those of Chess or the Japanese game of Go. Hawaiians carved the playing board into wood, coral, or rocks, some of which still exist today.
This kit comes in a muslin bag, and instead of rock, the playing field is silkscreened onto muslin cloth. The black and white playing pieces are made of black basalt (lava) and white coral. Instruction are included. Enjoy the game, and enjoy knowing that your game is made entirely of natural and biodegradeable resources.
