Item Description
"Shellfish" by Pamela Haley
Medium: Natural Shells on Wood
Size: 19" x 8"
Artist Statement:
My inspiration for this particular piece came from the extraordinary organic beauty of natural, found shells from the ocean and beaches. I find their colors and shapes to be exquisite and never identical, which always adds curious interest.
Artist Biography:
I am a resident of Marblehead and received a B.A. in Studio Art from Kenyon College. An independent artist, I am primarily a jewelry designer but also work in other media, such as painting and knitting. I love the use of color, whether it is through paint, gemstones, shells or fibers, and I am inspired by organic shapes and shells found in nature.
