You are bidding on "Morning 10/40", Emily Hubley/Faith Hubley (2019) printed by Pepper Spray Press, 8.5" x 11" a limited run print created in support of The Faith Journal Project.
Emily Hubley has made short animated films for four decades. Her feature, "The ToeTactic" premiered at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC in 2009. Recent projects include the shorts Faithy, hey (2019) and Brainworm Billy (2018) and Look Where You’re Going! (2020), a 100’ digital mural. She is completing a multi-screen installation project based on the self-portraits and art by her mother, Faith Hubley. Her work is in the Collection of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Emily's film animation has been featured at the Provincetown International Film Festival and she was an Artist in Residence at the Gabrielle A Hanna's Provincetown Film Instute's Women Filmmaker Residency Program.
Faith Hubley (1924 - 2001) made twenty-five animated films celebrating the art of many cultures. Her partnership with John Hubley (until his death in 1977) broke new ground in the world of animation. She had three honorary doctorates, was an AMPAS member and senior art critic at Yale University. The Hubley Collection is archived at the MoMA in NYC. Faith Hubley's animation was featured at the Provincetown International Film Festival in 2003 and an award in her name was endowed in 2012.
