Item Description

Hand-painted, 55-gallon rain barrel with image of the Manayunk Bridge over the Schuylkill River.  This food-grade plastic rain barrel, created by Abington EAC volunteers, is designed to collect rainwater from a roof gutter downspout.  The barrel is connected to a downspout via a diverter-hose.  Rainwater gets diverted from the downspout into the barrel.  Once the barrel is full, additional rainwater stays in the downspout and follows its usual path. The rain barrel system is closed, so no mosquitoes.

The rain barrel comes with the following items:

Downspout diverter for either a round or a rectangular downspout, winter cap, installation screws, and 6-foot expandable connecting rubber hose.

An Abington EAC member will deliver this barrel to the auction winner if in Southeast PA. If not, the winner must pick up.

Barrel is for use in Spring, Summer, and Fall, but should be disconnected and protected in winter months.  Installation instructions will be provided.
