Item Description

Remains of Winter, MP1, 2022

Vegetation collagraph, oil inks on Japanese unryu paper. A cranberry background with light yellow and a touch of orange vegetation.

Dimensions:
12" x 12"

This unique monoprint (mp) has a wine colored background with vegetation in a light buff hue with touches of orange and a deeper beige. It is from a group of works playing with the 19th century tradition of flower pressing for remembrance and identification. The work is hand pulled through the press, to achieve an evocative slightly embossed surface of  Wyoming Yarrow that survived winter to remain in the spring.

The image is simply and archivally presented in a white frame to size.
