A Salute to the Joy of Making Music
Join us on Monday, May 8, 2017 for Community Music Center’s annual fundraiser, A Salute to the Joy of Making Music, which supports CMC’s extensive tuition assistance programs.
This year, we honor San Francisco Performances President-Emeritus, Ruth Felt, with the annual Gertrude Field Community Impact Award.
The celebration will include performances by CMC students and faculty and will culminate in an exciting headliner performance by renowned jazz violinist, Regina Carter, accompanied by Xavier Davis.

Community Music Center’s Annual Spring Gala
May 8, 2017; Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco
An evening of music and celebration to benefit the Community Music Center. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception and silent auction, a music scholarship auction, a banquet dinner, a performance by CMC faculty and students, and an outstanding musical program featuring acclaimed jazz violinist Regina Carter. There will be an opportunity to play musical instruments in our Instrument Petting Zoo and enjoy spectacular views from the Four Seasons’ Veranda Terrace.
Tickets begin at $300. Sponsorships include access to the exclusive VIP reception, premium seating, and visibility on event signage and materials.
Community Music Center’s mission is to make music accessible to people of all ages, musical levels, and financial backgrounds. Our students range in age from one to 90+ years old and enjoy classes in everything from Western classical to Chinese to Latin Music. Community Music Center has branches in the Mission and Richmond districts, as well as programs throughout the city.
