Proceeds from this Legends Online Auction and the Legends Ball provides opportunities for youth and teens with special needs to participate alongside their typically developing peers through the Y’s innovative and unique Integration Initiative.

The Integration Initiative was established in 2004 to meet an emerging need in the community, recognizing the importance of supporting children with special needs and their families, providing a community of inclusion at the Hockomock Area YMCA. More than 1,000 children with special needs and their families have participated in the Initiative where individuals increase independence and physical activity while improving social skills and build self-esteem.
