The Taste of Basalt Silent Auction is Now Open!

Bid high and bid often! All proceeds from this Taste of Basalt online silent auction benefit the Basalt Education Foundation, which raises funds to enhance education in the Basalt public schools. Simply click on "View All Items" above to peruse all of our awesome auction items.

 

Please note that there are three different types of auction items:

 

1) Items open to online bidding that close on November 3. Any auction items that simply show an "online close of Nov 3, 2017 10:00 PM MDT" will NOT be going to the "Live Event" onsite auction on November 4 at the Roaring Fork Club. You will know on November 3 if you are the highest bidder. We will either mail your item to you if you are the winner, or, if you happen to be attending our Live Event, the Taste of Basalt, you can pick up your auction item there at the end of the night. An example of an item that is offered online only is here. 

 

2) Items that will carry over to our on-site silent auction, which will take place at the Taste of Basalt "Live Event" at the Roaring Fork Club on November 4. You will know if an item is being carried over if the item is labeled in a grey box, "Live Event Item: After the online close, this item will be going to a Live Event for further bidding." An example of an Online to Live Event item is here. If you really want an item that is going to the Live Event, but you are not planning on attending the Taste of Basalt, simply enter the Maximum Bid you are willing to make, so you can initiate Absentee Bidding. A proxy bidder at the Live Event will do your incremental bidding for you, so you can still be the highest bidder to win an item if you if you are not there to bid in person the "old fashioned" way with paper and pencil. (If you've been to the Taste of Basalt in years' past, you'll recall this type of bidding!)

 

3) Items that are only going to the Live Event onsite silent auction. We show these here to wet your whistle for some auction items that will be available exclusively to attending guests. An example of a Live Event item is here.
