The LGBAC Holiday Auction is now OPEN!
You have until 10 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2017 to bid on over 40 fun and unique items. We hope you will support our mission and get a head start on your holiday shopping. Buy something for the people you love from the band you love!
With music and passion, the Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps advocates for LGBTQ visibility and supports community causes. We seek to educate and entertain our audiences while providing our participants with an artistic outlet for their talents in a safe and inclusive environment.
With your generous support, you will help us realize our mission by:
- Contributing to instrument acquisition and repair
- Securing space to rehearse and store our equipment
- Purchasing uniforms
- Providing travel scholarships for members; we leave no one behind for inability to pay
- Commissioning exciting new music by talented young NYC composers
- Supporting our Concerto Competition for NYC high school students. The winning student receives a scholarship and the opportunity to perform onstage with the LGBAC Symphonic Band at Symphony Space in NYC.
- Inspiring thousands of parade watchers and audience members each year with "The Sound of Love and Joy!"
