Amas Musical Theatre is getting ready to run an online auction fundraiser.

Amas Musical Theatre is New York's celebrated champion of multiculturalism and diversity in the performing arts. Amas (from the Latin "Love") was founded in 1968 by pioneering actress and producer Rosetta LeNoire (1911-2002) to combat racism and promote understanding within and across our culture. For this work she was recognized in 1999 with the National Medal Arts by President Clinton.

Starting on March 21, 2018, Amas Musical Theatre will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money in support of our Theatre and education programs.

Our Online Auction begins on March 21nd at 12pm and concludes April 2nd at 12pm. The same auction then continues LIVE on April 2nd at 6pm-11pm at Baruch Center for Performing Arts in New York City!

The core mission of Amas for over 49 years, focuses on musical theatre as a catalyst for collaboration and transformation and energizes all of our programming:

  • To create, develop, and produce original musicals that celebrate diversity and inclusion;
  • To support and promote the emergence of new artistic talent that reflects a multicultural society; and
  • To inspire and nurture the creativity and empathy of young people, especially those from underserved communities.

Led since 1994 by artistic producer Donna Trinkoff, Amas has emerged as a recognized center of musical development expertise.
