29th Annual FCBA Foundation Charity Online Auction Opens on Thursday, October 25, 2018!

Running from October 25 - November 8, 2018, the Federal Communications Bar Association Foundation will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for the auction beneficiaries - and the more items we have the more money we can raise, so we're asking for your help!

The Young Lawyers Committee of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) and the FCBA Foundation will hold their 29th Annual Charity Auction on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Sphinx Club at the Almas Temple, 1315 K Street, NW, Washington, DC, from approximately 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

About the Auction Beneficiaries

Proceeds from this year’s Charity Auction will benefit two great, local charities—New Endeavors by Women (NEW) and the FCBA Foundation.  Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, NEW partners with homeless women in the DC area to empower them to recognize their own worth.  By providing housing, fostering the development of life skills, and promoting education and employment, NEW transforms women’s lives by working to break the cycle of homelessness.  Nearly 30 years later, NEW’s programs and services are even more vital and urgently-needed, as homeless women and children in the District face the most daunting climb out of homelessness ever seen in recent history.  Funds raised from this year’s Charity Auction will support NEW’s Youth Enrichment Program (YEP!), which provides school help and a summer enrichment program for children.  The FCBA Foundation will use proceeds from the Charity Auction to support its annual scholarship program.

About the Charity Auction

The Charity Auction is one of Washington, DC’s premier “must-attend” events for the communications industry. The event features a live auction hosted by a professional auctioneer, silent auctions, online auction, and raffle drawings. Attendees should expect surprises and new and exciting prizes building on last year’s event (over $100,000 raised), including vacation packages; consumer electronics; tickets to Verizon Center events, concerts, theater shows, and various professional and collegiate sporting events; dinners; lunches; spa packages; and gift certificates from area businesses.
