New Jersey Theatre Alliance began in 1981 with a membership of five professional theatres. Today, we have 33 members in 13 of the state’s 21 counties, thanks to the spirit of collaboration among New Jersey’s professional theatres, which is centered in the Alliance.
Proceeds from this auction will help strengthen the Alliance's critical role as a resource for the state's theatre and arts community and advance the Alliance's programs to benefit seniors, children, people with disabilities, and the theatre-going public. Cornerstones of the Alliance's public programs include:
THE STAGES FESTIVAL - an annual month-long program held every March that offers free and discounted performances, workshops and events at theatres, libraries, senior centers, and other non-traditional venues across the state.
CULTURAL ACCESS NETWORK PROJECT - a project of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Alliance that assists theatres and the state's cultural community in making their programs and facilities accessible to seniors and people with disabilities.
