MPAK 5th Annual Fundraising Gala is coming soon!

Welcome to the MPAK fundraising gala auction site.

While our Gala is on November 2, 2019, we will start the online auction a week ahead on October 26, 2019.

MPAK will be auctioning off a number of unique and fun items to bid on to raise money to support the 'Children of the North'. The more items we have the more money we can raise, so we're asking for your help.

Keynote Speaker Connie Chung

Come and listen to a dramatic and moving story of Connie Chung, whose parents are from North Korea. Her early life was filled with challenges and hardship, and she became homeless. However, with the help of a few loving people, she went on to Berkely and later obtaining a doctorate degree from Harvard. Here Connie is with her husband Sean and the baby Isabella.

Special Performance by Mr. Youngbum Jeong on Bipa.

MPAK is 20 years old this year. Youngbum was adopted by an MPAK family 20 years ago as a 9 years old boy. Now he is a nationally recognized bipa (Korean mandolin) performer. Youngbum and MPAK grew up together. Having Youngbum come and perform at our gala has a very significant meaning.

And our Most Talented and Esteemed Emcee Jinah Kim will lead us with the Gala flow and the fundraising event. MPAK is very grateful for her yearly support at our Gala.

General Admission: $250 per person
Table Purchase: $2,000 per table (10 per table seating)
MPAK Members: $200 per person

Mission to Promote Adoption of Kids (MPAK) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. MPAK is dedicated to the promotion of adoption of orphan children and has worked tirelessly the past 20 years in Korea to bring about positive changes in the Korean adoption culture. Recently MPAK has also extended its vision and support to help orphans in China.

The MPAK Gala is dedicated to helping homeless children. We are thankful for your generous heart and consideration in making our 5th Annual MPAK Fundraising Gala the recipient of your Corporate and/or Family Sponsorship! Enjoy an enchanting evening of cocktails, dinner, and music, along with exciting silent and live auctions.

This year our theme is “Children of the North: Raising Funds for the Orphans and Vulnerable Children of North Korean Escapees" which represents the children who were born from North Korean escapee mothers. Many of these mothers have been captured and deported back to North Korea, never to be seen again.

Consequently, many of these “Children of the North” have no mothers and are now orphans. For those who have fathers, many of the fathers are not able to support the children due to their special needs, substance abuse or inability to find work.

This puts many of the children in danger, and many of them cannot get an education beyond the high school level. This year’s fundraising gala is about helping these “Children of the North.”

With your gift and participation, you will join MPAK to be a “Voice for Homeless Children!”
