WHAT HAPPENS TO THE GALA NOW?
As you have already heard, school is closed, public events are being limited, and the gala is cancelled. We are all doing our part to help “flatten the curve", but we still need to ensure we have the best resources available to our students when we return to school!

Each year, the gala/spring fundraiser raises about $125,000. Fortunately, about $70-$80k of that is raised through our online silent auction that is open to the public. Unfortunately, the remaining $40-$50k was raised at our live event, or gala, where we hosted the live auction and our fund-a-need portion of the evening where guests raised their paddles to pledge donations to the Foundation. Without the live auction and fund-a-need portions of the gala, WE NEED YOUR HELP to ensure we still raise the full $125,000.

Here’s how you can help:

1.  If you purchased a ticket, please consider the cost of your ticket sale as a donation to the Foundation. Again, the cost of the ticket did not raise any money, it was paid for the food and entertainment at the gala. This would be put towards what would have been our “Fund-A-Need” portion of the night. (Although, if you would like a refund, please contact us at stacibarrett33@gmail.com)


2.  All of the items previously marked for the live auction are now available to everyone in the silent auction! In addition, there is now a BUY NOW option.

3.  Share our silent auction with your friends, family, and neighbors. The more bidders we have, the more we raise for our kids!

With our shark families taking the lead on donations and the support of our local business community, both auctions and the raffle will offer fantastic "finds" for bidders such as camps, restaurants, classes, and unique family experiences - just to name a few. In addition to the fundraising, the gala offers parents and teachers a chance to have a fun "grown up" night out!

10pm: Late Night Snacks

11pm: Grab your Auction Items on your way out!

Winning bidder is responsible for picking up item/gift certificate. All items will be available for pick up when school is back in session or contact stacibarrett33@gmail.com if you need sooner. 
 

No shipping is available on larger items or glass. They must be picked up.
 
If you are out of the area and would like shipping please email us back at gala@newportheightsfoundation.com and let us know within 24 hours of winning your item. Gift cards or certificates under $100 will be mailed U.S. Postal Service. Anything over $100 value will need to be shipped Fedex for tracking. Bidder must pay shipping/mailing cost. These fees will be charged to the credit card on file for the bidder.
 

All Sales Final.  Newport Heights Elementary and the item’s donor will not be liable or responsible in any way for any loss, damage, injury, or liability arising out of or in any way resulting from any property, services, or other items included in this auction.
