Make Your Bid to Support aHUS research

at the University of Iowa!

Now is your chance to not only get all the great items you want, but to do it knowing you are helping support our organization and mission. Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) is an extremely rare disease (2 cases per 1,000,000 of population in the United States) characterized by low levels of circulating red blood cells, low platelet count and inability of the kidneys to process waste from the blood. The Molecular Otolaryngology & Renal Research Laboratory (MORL) at the University of Iowa is leading research to increase the knowledge base of complement-mediated renal diseases, including the development of new treatment options for both aHUS and C3G. Findings of direct clinical relevance are quickly transferred to the Clinical Diagnostics Division to ensure that healthcare providers are always offering their patients the best possible tests.
