A Benefit Evening for the Hurley School

Neighborhood Parents for the Hurley School (NPHS) is proud to host Tropicaliente for the 12th year, our biggest annual fundraiser covering around 80% of The Hurley School's annual budget.

Your support is critical. All of the money raised from Tropi goes directly back to support the Hurley School, an inner-city bilingual K-8 Boston Public School located in the South End where 70% of our students enrolled come from economically disadvantaged families. Despite that challenge, the Hurley proudly remains a Tier 1 school.

The event features Latin music - dancing - signature drinks - and light bites. Boston businesses sponsor the event and donate goods and services to the magnificent silent auction.

Through generous donations, NPHS has provided opportunities for reading interventions, improved school facilities and technology, and added art and music curriculums. This year, we aim to raise funds so that we can introduce engaging and inclusive after-school programs for our students, such as chess, art, running, robotics, basketball and volleyball.

Join us in celebrating the Hurley school as we raise money to secure the best future for our children, and our community. Everyone is welcome!

Online auction opens on May 1, and continues through the end of the event on May 20th. Look out for more information on the items included in the auction.

NPHS se orgullese en presentar por 12o vez nuestro evento de recaudación de fondos más grande del año ¡Tropicaliente! El cual cubre el 80% del presupuesto anual de la escuela.

Tu ayuda es crítica, los fondos recaudados ayudan directamente a La Hurley, una escuela pública de Boston bilingüe ubicada en el South End, donde el 70% de los estudiantes son de bajos recursos, y a pesar de esta desventaja, la Hurley continúa siendo una escuela de primer nivel.

Negocios locales patrocinan el evento donando servicios y productos para nuestra increíble subasta en vivo.

A través de donaciones muy generosas, NPHS a otorgado a la escuela la oportunidad de recibir intervenciones en lectura, ha mejorado las instalaciones escolares, tecnológicas y ha agregado curriculums en arte y música.

Este año el propósito de los fondos recaudados es para introducir un programa de actividades para después de la escuela que incluye ajedrez, arte, robótica, basketball, volleyball entre otros.
