Silent Auction | The James Initiative
The James Initiative is auctioning off some of Costa Rica's treasures in a silent auction as part of the first annual fundraiser in honor of the late James Michaud on his 10th birthday.
Local and international artists, whom now call Costa Rica their home, have come together to showcase their pieces. Proceeds from the silent auction and event will produce a powerful project focusing on the women and children in the Esperanza community in Guanacaste.
The Esperanza Project has been established for the past eight years with Paradise Medical, Thierry and Nosara.com providing affordable and high quality health care in the community of Esperanza. The program subsidizes most of the costs, while families receive medical and preventative care for only C4,000 per consultation.
Empowerment program: The fundraiser is to help fortify a new program that focuses on issues of domestic violence and sexual health. An outreach program will be established encompassing women?s health and awareness. Women and children will be provided with basic healthcare and a support network consisting of a social worker, a psychologist and a psychiatrist.

Join us for a night of cocktails, dinner, dancing and live musical performance by Social Club. The first annual fundraiser will be hosted on James? 10th birthday celebrating local artists of all kinds.
