The Art of Giving marketplace is open! Help us reach our goal of $15,000 by November 8.
BDO's core purpose of helping people thrive, every day, is demonstrated in many ways. The Art of Giving allows BDOers to share how art helps them thrive and, in turn, proceeds from the auction will help others to thrive. The auction will run from November 1, 2023 to November 8, 2023, with proceeds going to projecthelping in order to support helping people thrive through art.
All auction items have been created by BDO professionals, family, or BDO alumni. Bid often and share with your colleagues. Let the bidding begin!
FAQs
Are donations tax deductible?
No, donations made through The Art of Giving Marketplace are not tax deductible.
May I make a monetary donation instead of bidding on artwork?
Yes! On The Art of Giving Marketplace homepage, click the ?donate now? link on the right side to make a monetary donation. Please note: You must create an account before donating.
If I am the winning bidder, when will I receive the artwork?
You?ll receive an email shortly after The Art of Giving Marketplace closes on Nov. 8, letting you know that you won the item. Your work will be shipped within two weeks after the auction closes to the address you provided.
Will sales taxes be applied to my order?
Yes, applicable sales taxes will be applied based on shipping destination after the auction closes and winning bidders are identified. Sales tax will be added, where applicable, to final transactions.

Make Your Bid to Support projectart!
This fundraiser will be supporting projectart, a nonprofit based out of Brooklyn, NY. With a goal of "creating opportunity through art," this nonprofit aligns with two of BDO's Social Impact cause areas - Children & Youth and Education & Literacy. ProjectArt hosts programs in six cities with BDO offices: Cincinnati, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Pittsburgh.
BDO artists and artisans created for a cause; now you can shop with purpose. Proceeds benefit ProjectArt. ProjectArt serves children who don't have access to arts education at school by partnering with public libraries to provide free, high-quality art classes led by resident teaching artists who empower kids with the possibilities and potential of creative expression.
Art is a window to the wider world. Learning about art helps children think critically and interpret the world in unique and personal ways. It helps them express themselves. Engaging with art builds technical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. It fosters confidence, creativity, self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
