The online portion of Paws For The Cause Auction is now open. The online auction will run until January 27, 2023, with the live event taking place on January 28, 2023. Proceeds go to FRIENDS OF HOMELESS ANIMALS in order to help us continue to save homeless cats and dogs. Auction items range from rounds of golf to unique experiences guaranteed to delight and surprise. So tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!
Donations
Donations are always appreciated. If you would like to donate to FOHA but don't wish to participate in the auction, donations can be made online OR at the shelter OR or via mail: FOHA, 39710 Goodpuppy Lane, Aldie, VA 20105.
Where your money goes
Money raised will help with us feed, house, and provide medical care for the dogs and cats in our custody. At any given time, we have approximately 140 animals at our shelter and in foster care. We are a no-kill shelter so we are committed to providing a safe haven for as long as necessary, and as animals are adopted out, we fill the empty space with animals we pull from high kill shelters. All of our animals are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered when they are adopted.
Item collection
Winning bidders can pick up their items at the following times and locations:
- January 28 at the live event after the bidding closes, at River Creek Country Club, 43800 Olympic Blvd, Leesburg, VA. Winners will be able to pick up items from approximately 9pm - 10pm
- February 4, from 1pm - 4pm at the FOHA shelter, 39710 Goodpuppy Lane, Aldie, VA
- February 5, from noon - 3pm at the FOHA shelter, 39710 Goodpuppy Lane, Aldie, VA
Note: A 2% fee will be applied to online payments to help cover processing costs.
Live Event Details

Join the River Creek party animals supporting homeless animals. The party runs from 5-10pm on January 28th as we support Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) at our annual Paws For The Cause event. There will be food and drink available for purchase, and lots of auction items up for bid, including on the VIP Washington Capitals Experience, a signed Commanders Football, and a Foursome of golf at Creighton Farms. The silent auction ends at 9pm, with items available for pickup afterwards. All proceeds benefit FOHA, who have been saving lives since 1973.
