It's Auction Time! St. Dorothy's Rest is auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to raise money to support our Hospital Camps. The auction will run from May 14 to June 7, 2015. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!
Summer camp is right around the corner, and there are so many kids who need financial assistance to come to St. Dorothy's! No child is turned away for the inability to pay, so by bidding on any of these items, you will help us provide camperships to kids in all of our hospital and regular camps. You can be a part of providing a summer camp experience to a camper by bidding generously on our auction items.
Since 1901, St. Dorothy's Rest has offered summer camp programs to children from bay area hospitals. Hospital Camps provide a unique summer camp experience for children who have or had cancer & their siblings, children with sickle-cell anemia and children who have received organ transplants. We partner with California Pacific Medical Center, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital & Children's Hospital in Oakland to offer 100 children a summer camp experience at no cost to the families who participate. It costs $1000 to host a child at Hospital Camp.
