Bonnie Parker
BONNIE & CLYDE
2011
Beware the infamous Bonnie Parker, the pistol packin’ mamma from the Broadway musical Bonnie & Clyde. This woman of ill repute is decked out in a most-fashionable 1933 ensemble of a blood-red top with striped yoke and sleeves and a bolero jacket. Her skirt, form-fitting at the hips, flows into a full skirt at the ankles. Her auburn locks are topped off with a black felt beret. The striped fabric was constructed by stitching together tiny red and white strips of jersey, embellished with yellow stitches. This attractive outfit is a replica of one worn by the real Bonnie Parker. But don’t let her innocent teddy bear face deceive you. She has one more fashion accessory under her skirt that you might not want her to reach for. She has a small lady’s hand gun, concealed in her red and black garter. The gun is a replica of an authentic 1930s pistol and is fashioned from polymer clay and painted with acrylic paint. Bid on this not-so-innocent lady … or risk the consequences!
