Item Description
Snip! Snip! Ahhhhhh! Celebrate your institution’s unique history with a unique work of paper art. Scherenschnitt, or the art of paper cutting, is as ancient as paper itself. Paper artist Ingrid Lavoie will transform your institutions “story” and specific history into an original design, cut from a single piece of paper (approx. 8” x 10”).
Lavoie will get to know your institution via a possible visit, phone interview, website, etc. to capture the essential elements for the work of art. Final design available by mid 2018. Picture shown is Lavoie’s design based on the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme. The finished paper work was attached to a wooden palette for final display.
