Fund-a-Need: Library Redesign – And Add Your Name to the Recognition Wall!
The Baywood Elementary School library is the heart and backbone of the school. Our library connects students with one another, their teachers and with the resources that shape and cultivate their learning. To strengthen our library is to strengthen our entire community, the programs we deliver, and the students’ experience. The vision for our future library space is to redesign the existing footprint and provide a state-of-the-art library experience with modular furniture, a check-out kiosk and spaces that are flexible, private and collaborative, just to name a few. When every student has the potential to carry a global library on the device of his or her pocket, the role of physical libraries become even more important, not just as a place to house resources, but one in which to create meaning from them. Ultimately, libraries will continue to inspire students to construct new knowledge and meaning from the world around them. Be a part of this year’s phenomenal Fund-A-Need to transform our library into an improved center of active learning!

For every Fund-a-Need contribution of $250 or more, your family’s name will be included on the Recognition Wall in the Baywood Library.
This is our most ambitious Fund-a-Need yet, and every dollar counts. We are so excited about this important addition to the Baywood educational experience and expect it to be a lasting legacy from the 2017-2018 school year.
