The Attleboro Arts Museum will be auctioning off a “mystery artwork” donated by a highly acclaimed, award-winning artist.  This mystery piece will only be uncovered when the gavel falls on Saturday, November 2nd’s live auction and the piece is awarded to the highest bidder. Auction coordinators are eager to congratulate the wise winner of this sought-after work.   

The only details that can be shared are:

Medium: Intaglio-type
Style: two-dimensional work, framed with neutral matt
Size: 25" x 25" x 1.5" (includes frame)
Value: $450, Starting bid: $150
Color palette: Black & white
 

The artist:

Has exhibited work in the Museum’s prestigious “8 Visions” exhibition
Is a long-time, beloved art instructor at an area college
Blends remarkable technique with mystery and engaging composition

A note on bidding: Any high bid that does not follow the listed bidding increments will be nullified and voided.

 The Bidding Increments are as follows:

   $1-99, the bidding increment is $5

   $100-199, the bidding increment is $10

   $200-499, the bidding increment is $20

   $500-999, the bidding increment is $50

   $1000 and up, the bidding increment is $100

This item can be shipped or picked up at the Attleboro Arts Museum from November 5-9, 2019. The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. The artist retains all reproduction and copyrights.
