IST Annual Fundraising Dinner & Auction

On Sunday March 1, 2020 the International School of Tucson (IST) will be hosting its Annual Fundraising Dinner at the lovely Stillwell House in downtown Tucson.  The silent auction will be available online starting two weeks before the Dinner event and run through midnight on Saturday February 29, 2020. Please buy your tickets and/or donate teacher tickets today ($80 each)!

IST is a 501(c)(3)  private school, the only full language immersion school in Tucson. IST receives no public funding and relies solely on tuition, tax credits, donations, and the funds raised from the Annual Dinner/Auction to operate. Each year IST holds a live, and silent, auction to raise funds for different needs the school has, to priovide the optimal environment for children to learn.  Funds raised at the event are used for various school needs like updating the school library or replacing the computers in the IT lab, or updating the children's outdoor play area with shade structures or enhancing the preschool sandbox.

There are scant opportunities for children to build on their bilingual skills at an age where they are still vulnerable to losing their language gains. Consistent with its mission and given the tremendous progress in enrollment and curriculum made by the current IST administration, the Board voted to pursue setting trips for children to defend and extend their fluency into the critical early adolescent period. IST kids learn about other cultures and other countries, through travel, and through learning. IST's entire focus is on international awareness and understanding other cultures. IST is a Cambridge program which is focused entirely on opening the world up to children.
