A Toast To Those Who Teach & Inspire

On Saturday, April 24, 2021, parents and friends of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy will come together virtually for our signature fundraiser. This year's event, A Toast to Those Who Teach & Inspire, will honor the teachers, staff, and administration who have worked tirelessly since Spring of 2020 to ensure that our children could successfully and safely return to in-person learning while simultaneusly providing the same quality instruction for those who have chosen to learn remotely.  They have gone above and beyond, putting our childrens' needs before their own, and our community is thrilled to be able to recognize them for their dedication and commitment.

The evening starts with an on-line mixology class, where one of Lettuce Entertain You's acclaimed mixologists will teach you how to make two cocktails, both of which are sure to complement your Mezze Platter from Aba!*

We'll then move on to some friendly competition as we break into teams of 4 to 6 people to play virtual games! Some games may be scavenger-hunt inspired while some may be trivia inspired. Some games may be guessing-games while others may be skill-based. There will be something for everyone!

Of course no Emerald Auction would be complete without our popular silent auction! Featuring the ever-popular Classroom Projects and Teachers' Treasures, we'll also have a new category this year - Family Baskets!  Finally, we are thrilled to announce that 100% of the money raised during this year's paddle raise will benefit the Maroon & Gold Fund. Previously recognized as teacher bonuses, this new fund was created to reward OLMCA teachers and staff for their hard work and dedication.

With no need to hire a sitter, buy a new outfit or pay for glam, there is no excuse not to join us at this year's event!

*Mixology Kits and Mezze Platters can be picked up from Aba (302 N. Green St.) on Saturday, April 24, from 3:00-6:00pm.  If you chose the delivery option, you can expect delivery to occur between 3:00pm-6:00pm.
