Art Board by Brian De Leon featuring portraits of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, signed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Born in the Philippines, Brian lived in San Diego for two decades before moving to Las Vegas for work.  He started sketching when he was four. Today, he continues to work with a sketch-like style.  All of his pieces are black and white (unless he feels that they need a little color).

In an interview with San Diego CityBeat, he said “When you put color, you see color first, then you see the person. But if it’s black and white, you see the feeling it portrays, the emotion, the personality. I try to grasp that with each and every one of them. Color is a whole different chapter; it creates a new story. When it’s black and white, it’s more about the subject at hand.”  Click here to learn more about Brian.

The board features portraits of the entire band and signatures of Michael 'Flea' Balzary (bass), Anthony Keidis (vocals), and Josh Klinghoffer (guitar). Chad Smith (drums) will sign the board the second week of January.

This is the first of Brian's original works that will be sold. In the past, Brian has kept all of his originals and only sold prints of them.
