Item Special Note
Kenneth Hawkey (www.KennethHawkey.com) was born in upstate New York and moved to Cape Cod in 1984. Hawkey is represented by Larkin Gallery in Provincetown and Post Office Gallery in North Truro, MA. He has also participated in many other organizations in Chatham, Cotuit, Dennis, Orleans, Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, Yarmouth and New York. He is the recipient of two Massachusetts Cultural Council grants to create art and serves as Chair of the local Truro Cultural Council. He is most recognized for his informed, architectural landscape paintings of historic places as well as his sand dunes series of work, "but his paintings are distinguished more by their luminous thoughtfulness," said the Provincetown Banner. He also teaches principals of art classes in Truro.
