Artist Inspiration:

Patricia has a deep love for all things Native American. She loves the petroglyphs on the rocks of Southern Colorado. Native American dances, katchina dolls, costumes, and stores are always so colorful and memorable. She painted this piece as a cougar because animals are sacred to Native Americans.

Artist Bio:

Patricia Pierce-Phillips is a native Coloradoan. “I did my first art show sponsored by the Paletteers Art Club at age 8 and won a first place ribbon! I now enjoy doing art shows at literary, sci-fi/fantasy conventions and frequently donate part of my sales to cat and animal charities.”

Her favorite working media is acrylics and Prismacolor pencils with watercolor. She is now experimenting and creating with both soft and oil pastels. She is not currently showing her work anywhere but hopes to remedy that in the coming months.

Patricia lives in Denver with her husband and three felines. She has been lucky to find and adopt Mandu, a Turkish Van, Kali, a Norwegian Forest cat, and Mewsette, a frisky little Bengal.
