The Kids Classes
Little Kangaroos: (under 4) Toddlers learn basic martial art techniques in a safe and fun setting. They will work on essential skills including mobility, coordination, agility and body control. They will also develop confidence, independence, and the ability to work with their peers. All participants will get a great workout (Little Kangaroo patents.)
Little Tigers (Ages 4-7) Young students begin to learn core karate techniques as part of a traditional children belt program in a safe and fun setting. They learn a variety of kicks, punches, blocks, and choreographed forms (kata.) Every class includes demonstrations, exercises, drills, and forms. Students will also work on important life skills which include confidence, self-awareness, self-control, and conflict-management.
Little Ninjas: (Ages 8-11) Older students learn the full range of the karate system as part of the traditional children?s belt program in a safe and fun setting. They learn a variety of kicks, punches, blocks, and choreographed forms (kata.) Plus they get a rigorous workout and learn controlled self-defense and sparring techniques. Every class includes demonstrations, exercises, drills, and forms. Students will also work on important life skills which include confidence, self-awareness, self-control, and conflict-management.
Adult Classes
Aikido: modern Japanese martial art which is based In the deflection of an attacker by using their own force against them. The Aikido curriculum is introspective and taught in a high-energy/ high-intensity format to challenge the most advanced of practitioners.
Jujutsu: A grappling (floor based) martial art class which is similar to wrestling. It is a tough strength workout and very practical for women?s self-defense. If you are thinking of developing expertise in martial art skills this would be your class.
Karate: a traditional karate curriculum with progressively difficult techniques in progression towards a black belt. Included in this class are different traditional choreographed forms (kata), self-defense and sparring.
MMA Fitness: Primarily a workout class that is based on the core exercises that martial artist perform in their own workouts. MMA has some resembles to kick boxing. This class will have your heart racing and feeling the burn while learning some helpful self-defense techniques.
