Description

You are bidding on Emperor Penguins with Chicks ? solid-brass  sculptures by Mark Noll!

A pair of solid-brass Emperor Penguins with Chicks metal sculptures. These flightless seabird sculptures are each 13 inches high and 6 inches wide. They have the same life-like glass eyes that taxidermists use.

Hand shaped and formed from a repurposed brass sheet using metalworking chisels, punches, hammers, and mallets. The rare and unusual brass sheet was discovered at a metal recycling yard.

The slate-black and white-wash patinas interact with the aged brass surface to create unique and striking colorations. Iridescent bright red-orange colors accent the parents? bills and necks, and all the birds' feet.

The surfaces are brushed with a Permalac clear coating to preserve the color and finish, and buffed with a patina wax. Copper wires are attached for hanging. I sign each piece on the back.

Ocean Futures Society feels so lucky to be able to offer you a chance to bid on these very special Emperor Penguin sculptures donated by our friend, Mark Noll. They will look great hanging on your wall or in your garden!
