Cherrylake is a wholesale tree nursery in Groveland, Florida. They grow some of the most beautiful specimen trees in the southeast USA. Magnolia, Crepe Myrtle, Oak, Japanese Blueberry, Holly, Bald Cypress, just to name a few.
They recently initiated a really special program called ?1,000 trees for 1,000 years?. Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) are native to America and are known to grow to over 3,000 years old. They can be grown throughout the southeast all the way north to Chicago. The idea is to plant trees not just for the near term but for the true future of the earth. Based on a recent scientific study, the New York Times stated that the best way to fight climate change is to plant a trillion trees.
