Description

Be the successful bidder for this Turquoise Prayer Mala from Pink Lotus Thangka and Dharma

The mala has a total of 108 beads representing the 108 earthly desires and is strung with an adjustable slip knot at the guru bead to enable the user to tighten or loosen the bead movement. The turquoise is beautiful and of the finest quality, holes carefully aligned on good quality cord, each of the beads measuring 8mm in diameter and the mala weighing around 80g.

Pink Lotus Thangka and Dharma was developed as a means to support Nepalese artisans struggling in Nepals poor economic climate. "Skilled artists and craftsmen were being driven from their trade by financial hardship and many were taking to manual labour abroad. The net result was a gradual erosion of skills that dated back many centuries." Pink Lotus supports these artisans and to tries to preserve their rich culture by providing an outlet for their work.

And say owners Sharon and Gary, "If you're ever in the area please feel free to visit. The kettle's always on and you will be made to feel very welcome."
