Description

Kingdom Trails is a charitable non-profit conservation organization, driven by a volunteer Board of Directors, working in partnership with private landowners, local businesses, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations to create and manage out-door recreation opportunities and preserve and protect trails. During all seasons of the year, we offer an extensive trail network for non-motorized, multi-use recreation activity.

Kingdom Trail Association was established in 1994 by a group of visionary residents and business leaders in the area. Their goal is to encourage recreational use of the Northeast Kingdom that is ecologically sensitive and promotes the natural beauty of the region. Major support for this effort has come from the National Park Service; the Vermont Community Foundation; the Vermont Department of Forest, Parks, and Recreation; the Connecticut River Valley Partnership Program, The Windham Foundation, KTA members and volunteers.

Each year VYCC employs over 250 young people to do hands-on work in farming and conservation projects across the state of Vermont. These amazing experiences help develop each Corps Member?s leadership, teamwork, understanding of inclusion, and larger professional skills.
