Description

Watercolor

24" x 31" x 1.25"

Robin Beckwith holds a BFA from the RISD.  In addition to her formal training, Robin studied with many locally and nationally known painters. She is a signature member of numerous art organizations and has recently exhibited her work at the Art League of RI, NE Watercolor Society, Wickford Art Association, and the AAM.

Autumn's Bounty is part of a body of work created by pouring separate layers of thinned watercolor paint, generating effects difficult to achieve in traditional painting. Masking fluid was used to protect specific areas before each pour and allowed to dry before additional layers were applied. The sunlit color, patterns and shadows of local farm produce appealed to Robin and she enjoyed the challenge of interpreting it.
