Description

Each Peeking Jizo is a unique work of art designed and hand glazed by Jan Chozen Bays, Roshi at Great Vow Zen Monastery. The ceramic peeking Jizo carries a child in his arms and has another child peeking out from behind his robes. Glaze colors and patterns have natural variations and may vary somewhat from the photos. The successful bidder will receive one Jizo in the color of their choice.

The statues are available in two skin tones (tan or white) as well as three robe colors (blue, green, or cream with red flames), each of which have special significance.

ZenWorks is operated by Great Vow Zen Monastery of Clatskanie, Oregon. Great Vow is a residential, Zen Buddhist, training monastery "inspired and guided by Jizo Bodhisattva's vow to help all beings who suffer, no matter where they are found."
