Treat your kids or grandkids to a reading for their whole class! Dr. Stormy Mayo will tell the tale of Ibis, A True Whale Story by John Himmelman. It is a wonderful story about Dr. Mayo and other CCS friends who worked on the disentanglement of Ibis a humpback whale on Thanksgiving Day in 1984. The successful disentanglement of Ibis is what lead to the organization of the CCS Whale Disentanglement program and provided the foundation for the many whales and sea turtles that have now been saved!
Spend an hour with Dr. Mayo, with time for the reading and question and answers. Reading will come complete with copies of Ibis, A True Whale Story for all their classmates (up to 25, more available at $7.95 per copy).
