This auction item invites you, one friend, and a parent to join Dr. Jo for a scrumptious lunch of Chinese dumplings at Northern Cafe. Get a chance to spend some time with our Executive and Artistic Director, and fill your belly with yummy dumplings, scallion pancakes, and more!!
Open to current or alumni Elemental Music students only. Location to meet Dr. Jo will be emailed to the winner.
DR. JOSEPHINE LIU MOERSCHEL ("Dr. Jo") is the Executive and Artistic Director of Elemental Strings and directs the Elemental Strings Chamber Orchestra. She has been on the faculties of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, and the Long Beach City College. Recently, she served as co-director of the Los Angeles branch of Junior Chamber Music and ViolaFest Los Angeles. Josephine sits on the boards of the Southern California Viola Society and the Greater Los Angeles Area branch of the American String Teachers' Association.
In addition to her teaching, Josephine can frequently be heard in the viola sections of many southern California ensembles. She is a member of the New West Symphony, and has performed with many other groups in LA, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, Opera Pacific, Pacific Symphony, Los Angeles Master Chorale and Long Beach Symphony.
Her students have been heard performing in leading youth orchestras in Los Angeles, as well as conservatories and music festivals across the country.
Josephine received a doctorate in viola performance from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. Her primary teachers include Roger Myers, Donald McInnes, Masao Kawasaki and Catharine Carroll.

This item will be available for pickup at the Elemental Strings/Prelude Concert on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Will Rogers Learning Community, 2401 14th Street, Santa Monica.
Auction pickup will take place at the Cafetorium starting at 12:30pm until 3:30pm.
If the winning bidder is a current participant in an Elemental Music program, we will do our best to deliver your winning items directly to your rehearsal during the week of March 1.
If the item needs to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for the additional shipping charges and will be billed to your account. All items are shipped with tracking. The shipper, not Elemental Music, is responsible for successful delivery.
