As well, he participated in several art competitions, which garnered him a number of prizes.

During his studies at the University of Ottawa?s Department of Fine Arts, he counted among his professors, artists Jacques Hurtubise, Kenneth Lochhead and Charles Gagnon, who influenced him greatly. Since then he has partaken in a variety of solo, collective and permanent exhibits at the provincial, national and international levels, including the Quebec Biennial II in Montreal, the Ontario Bicentenary in Toronto, Seoul?s Museum of Modern Arts in Korea and the Agora Gallery in New York (USA).

Some of his paintings have also been selected to illustrate the cover of books, as well as articles, in particular Passages, Mosaïque, Toubillon, the Canadian Parliamentary Review and Cent Bougies et un fantôme.
