Joe Battista is a former American ice hockey coach and sports executive. He is the author of ?The Power of Pragmatic Passion - 7 Common Sense Principles for Achieving Personal and Professional Success. He is best known for his role in the effort to bring varsity ice hockey to Penn State after helping to secure the largest single philanthropic gift to Penn State, $88 million, from Terry and Kim Pegula. He was instrumental in leading ?Team Pegula? in the design and building of Pegula Ice Arena and transitioning the ACHA hockey programs to NCAA varsity status.
