In 1943 a group of local artists formed the Hayward Art Association. Once a month, the group took a trip to a scenic spot in and around the Bay Area for painting, sketching, and drawing. Their work was displayed at different venues throughout the area including a storefront on the Strip at one time. Here are some of the members on October 30, 1949 atop a hill overlooking Hayward. Homes of Castro Valley lay in the background.
Exhibition print originally appeared in Past Times at the Hayward Area Historical Society.
