Description

Acrylic on Paper "Two Red Buddies" by Wyoming artist, Andrea Chemero. Framed size 12.5" x 13.25".

Item Special Note

Andrea Chemero has earned a B.A. double major in art history and studio art from Indiana University (1994), an M.L.S. from I.U. (1999) and an MFA from the School of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP) from the University of Cincinnati (2020).

This donated piece, titled ?Two Buddies? stems from her love of nature and demonstrates an interest in patterning with an eye toward heightened, unnatural colors. It is a folk-art style in acrylic paint on paper. ?Two Buddies? predates her thesis work and was painted as she prepared her portfolio for graduate school after a twenty-year hiatus from painting. This piece is about friendship. The red birds are friends cavorting in the flowers together.

Her hope is that her artwork conveys an appreciation for our natural world in all its complexity, beauty and fragility. If you want to know more, please visit: www.andreachemeroart.com
