Description

This auction item is based around a cooking tool called The Chef's Press. It comes in 2 sizes, 8oz. and 13oz. You will receive 2 of each size. Along with the cooking utensils, you will also receive a Dinner for your family based around dishes designed to be made with The Chef's Press. Items for the Dinner will be sourced from local markets, butchers, etc. and can be designed around your family's dietary preferences. I will consult with you and your family directly about this. This meal will come with recipes and directions on how to use The Chef's Press. A bottle of wine selected specifically for the dinner will also be included. The ingredients will be brought to your home for you to prepare, and I am also willing to assist in the preparation of the meal if you so choose. I have been working with Chef Bruce Hill, creator of The Chef's Press, since 2012 and have helped prepare many fine meals with his invention.

Item Special Note

The Chef's Press was born out of true necessity in the tiny kitchen of Bix Restaurant down a secret alley in San Francisco, where Chef Bruce Hill was at the helm of the stoves. In a small kitchen like that, every second counts. The old cast iron bacon presses used by his cooks trapped steam and were too heavy for many dishes. In 2004, Chef Hill created The Chef'ÂÂ’s Press is a weight adjustable tool that allows food to cook 20-30% faster, and is vented to release moisture, yielding better results with greater ease. In 2017, Chef Bruce Hill, began producing the Chef's Press Professional line in Oakland California. It is made from USA forged steel and sourced from Clayton metals in Cincinnati, OH. The steel is stamped into the Chef's Press by Rago & Son in Oakland, using a 100-ton press, just the way Rago has stamped steel since 1945. The custom tooling was designed and built by Precision Metal Tooling, Inc. in Oakland.
