1974 Jacques Cousteau
Autographed First Day Edition Art Work

 

The legendary Captain Cousteau was a pioneering explorer of the seas and of the issues that face us today. He was a French naval officer, explorer, ecologist, filmmaker, activist, innovator, inventor, author, scientific collaborator, and member of the French Academy. He co-invented the Aqualung, started a marine conservation movement and created a legacy of passion for the ocean that continues today through his family and the millions of people influenced by his work.

The title of the piece is Droit de la Mer (Law of the Sea) and was made in 1974. It was made in commemoration of the United Nations passing of the Law of the Sea.

Item Special Note

This piece measures 12" x 15" and comes in a custom frame. It has an original signature and comes with certificate of authenticity.
