Description

Ch. Lafite: Deep in color with aromas of sweet red berries and blackcurrants mingled with notions of cedar chest, cigar box, camphor and dried flowers, it is medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with an effortlessly elegant, harmonious profile and a long, fragrant finish.

Ch. Lafite: Good richness with mild tobacco and a smudge of green notes. Detectable heat from the rich blooded plums and prunes. Medium bodied with graceful smoke and elegant cigar box of a textbook Lafite.

Ch. Lafite: Aromas of earthy blackcurrant fruit mingled with notions of cigar box and red berries. Medium to full-bodied, ample and concentrated, displaying a velvety attack and a lively core of fruit, with just a touch of the tannic asperity.

Ch. Lafite: With a classic nose of pencil lead and cedar, the palate is both clean and precise with exquisite balance, fine tannins, cedar and tobacco infusing the black fruit with pencil lead notes becoming more accentuated towards the finish.

Ch. Lafite: The bouquet is pure and nicely ripe with the vintage's generosity, wafting from the glass in a complex blend of cassis, black cherries, tobacco leaf, a beautiful base of gravelly soil, a touch of fresh herbs and a very well-done framing of toasty new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very suave on the attack, with impeccable focus and balance, a lovely core of black fruit, fine soil signature and a long, seamlessly tannic and complex finish.

Ch. Lafite: A smoky, slightly baked character to the fruit and an undercurrent of dark chocolate and ground coffee. The texture is soft, sunny, and supple, with agreeable plumpness on the finish.
