Masa of Echo Park is a bakery and cafe that specializes in Chicago-style pizza and offers a variety of Italian, Spanish, French, midwest-American and Cuban menu options. Owners Rob Rowe and Rhonda Reynolds named Masa after the revolving oven that has been used in different restaurants on the premises for decades, which allows them to bake their Chicago-style pizzas with the traditional cornmeal crust. The atmosphere, much like its Echo Park surroundings, is designed to be a cultural melting pot that welcomes anyone who wants to enjoy a great meal.
Masa also offers bistro-inspired pizzas like the cerro gordo and bonnie brae, paninis, burgers, crepes and an assortment of entrees ranging from moules et frites to midwest meatloaf. Vegans will love the numerous salad and entree options and the specially made pizzas that feature Teese soy-based mozzarella so everyone can enjoy their personal favorites all in the same location.
